Notes: The Minnesota Vikings were the champions of the NFC North last season as they edged out Green Bay for the top spot. They did this despite the 31st ranked passing offense in the league and benefitted by injuries to the Packers. The passing game will need to improve as the Packers seem loaded this year. Teddy Bridgewater returns under center as the third year guy could see a series or two. They have an experienced NFL quarterbacks backing up in Shaun Hill who enters his 14th year in the league and has 34 starts in the league. He saw mop up duty in three games last year for the Vikings. Former Wisconsin product Joel Stave in in camp as he couldn’t make a roster last season. Also competing for a roster spot is second year man Taylor Heinicke.

Cincinnati were champions of the AFC North a season ago but suffered another early exit from the playoffs as quarterback Andy Dalton was lost to injury in the AFC Wildcard game against Pittsburgh. Dalton is back under center and will see a series or two. His backup is third year man A.J. McCarron who saw three starts last year including the playoff game. Keith Wenning out of Ball St is in his third year and has never taken a regular season snap. Joe Licata a rookie who played his college ball in Buffalo is vying for a roster spot.
