Drew Brees returns under center for New Orleans and will see limited work in week one of the preseason. They do have an experienced backup in Luke McCown who enters his 13th season with the league. He has been a backup to Brees the past five seasons. McCown has started in ten games in the league his last was last season. Former Colorado St stand out Garrett Grayson enters his second year with the Saints. He took no snaps in the regular season in his rookie campaign.

The Patriots will be without Tom Brady for the first four games of the regular season due to suspension from Deflategate. The Patriots are looking to improve the offensive line play they failed them in the playoffs. The pressure on Brady was so bad in the AFC Championship Game that New England fired their offensive line coach the next day. Backup Jimmy Garoppolo figures to get long look in week one.
