WWE John Cena vs AJ Styles WWE SummerSlam 2016 Predicción WWE 2K16

John Cena and AJ Styles will have a rubber match at SummerSlam.

Styles challenged Cena on SmackDown Live on Tuesday night, and the 15-time world champion accepted. WWE shared the interaction on Twitter:

Former WWE Superstar Lance Storm was happy to see the more passionate side of Cena rather than his sometimes comical self:

On one hand, having the two wrestle at SummerSlam makes sense. Styles beat Cena in a singles match at Money in the Bank, and then Cena teamed with Enzo Amore and Big Cass to beat The Club at Battleground. The two Superstars have unfinished business.

Plus, with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson on Raw, Styles won't have any help this time around. Should he take down Cena again, it would remove any doubt as to who the better wrestler is.

On the other hand, this feels like it could be another rivalry in which Cena loses the first match and then beats the other guy so comprehensively that it renders said first match completely meaningless.

Bray Wyatt and Rusev are two of the more notable cases of rising Superstars who had their momentum ground to a halt as a result of their feuds with Cena.

Kevin Owens was another example. He shocked the world when he upset Cena at Elimination Chamber 2015, and then WWE almost immediately announced a rematch for Money in the Bank, which undercut Owens' victory. Cena went on to defeat Owens at Money in the Bank and then Battleground as well.

Styles is a big enough star that he won't be hurt too much by a loss. After all, this is the same guy who lost to Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 32 and earned a shot for Roman Reigns' WWE World Heavyweight Championship the next night on Raw.

Still, Styles could use a marquee singles win at SummerSlam following the breakup of The Club.
