Police Officers Cook A Meal For Lonely Senior Couple In Heartwarming Act

Police officers in Rome were called to the home of a distraught elderly couple then stuck around to console the husband and wife and make them a meal.
Last Tuesday, police officers in Rome went to an elderly couple’s apartment after a neighbor reported shouts and cries coming from their unit, reports BuzzFeed News.
The authorities found out the couple was neither injured nor in peril, but distraught over the hatred they’d seen on a news broadcast. Police also learned that the elderly husband and wife had not had any visitors in a long time.
The officers stuck around to console the husband and wife, and that effort included making them a meal, notes the Evening Standard.
Though there wasn’t much food in the home, they were able to whip up some pasta with butter and cheese.
The police department later posted to its Facebook page that while there was no crime to address, the officers understood, “…that just a little human warmth will restore tranquility…”
