Large Waterspout Spotted Off Singapore Coast

A terrifying sight greeted Singapore residents on Saturday, August 6, when a giant waterspout formed off East Coast Park. The spout spun in the vicinity of ships and tankers in the bay. Generally such phenomena are harmless and are common in Singapore. This large tornado-like funnel spun for several minutes and was captured on video by many local residents.
