Armada is the idealistic young daughter of an army general. isolated and notably controlled by her father, she dreams of one day being liberated and free. Ironically, during the time Armanda was made Venezuela was an oasis of democracy in Latin America. The film does its best to give encouragement and hope to the oppressed people of America; yet today, it is Venezuela who is enduring communist oppression under a military government while the rest of America watches with remarkable indifference.
