Back in 2011, when Trump only occasionally talked about running for president, he was the guest of honor at a Comedy Central roast.
Prior to his appearance, he reportedly banned only one topic from being broached, notes Business Insider.
According to Aaron Lee, a writer for the roast, Trump made it clear there could be no suggestion that he exaggerates his wealth.
Lee notes that saying Trump's success is entirely due to father’s money was fine. So was talking about his many failed business ventures, such as Trump Water and Trump Steaks.
The writer also notes that the performers were allowed to joke about the billionaire being attracted to his daughter Ivanka.
Jeff Ross even joked about it on the roast saying that, “The Donald and I have a lot in common: We both live in New York. We both play golf. We both fantasize about his daughter."
Sadly, there was only a smattering of jabs concerning a Trump White House, but, to be fair, at the time, who really thought that could happen?
