Bear swims through swimming pool in backyard of residential home as temperatures heat up - TomoNews

ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA — When temperatures rise, bears are known to walk into residential neighborhoods to search for fruit, rummage through trash cans, and even sneak into pools.

On July 28, the Arcadia Police Department posted a short video of a bear in a backyard swimming pool, recorded by a local resident. On that day, the temperature reached 92 degrees Fahrenheit.

To prevent bears from trespassing, police advise that trash cans be secured in an enclosed area, fallen fruits aren’t left lying around for too long, and most of all, never feed the bears.
