Planned Parenthood Funding In Kansas Upheld

A federal judge ruled that Kansas state cannot cut Medicaid funding for two Planned Parenthood facilities. On Tuesday in Kansas City, U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson issued a temporary ruling in a lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri in favor of the non-profit organization. According to the Associated Press, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment planned to cut off funding for health services offered the facilities including exams and cancer screenings, for poor patients receiving health coverage through the state's Medicaid program on Thursday.
