On Thursday, U.S. Coast Guard personnel in Fort Myers Beach, Florida rushed to the aid of a dolphin in trouble.
The animal had somehow ended up in a boat and couldn’t get out.
Crewmembers consulted with a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission marine biologist, and it was decided the dolphin must be put back in the water immediately.
The team made that happen by partially placing a blanket over the mammal and then gently guiding the sea creature over the boat’s side.
Based on footage taken by one of the seamen, the dolphin swiftly went back to ts preferred habitat.
