Republican Party fractured as Trump set to take mantle

Next week, the Republican Party will head to Cleveland for a national convention at which Trump will be formally nominated to run against the Democratic former secretary of state. But instead of a giant pep rally extolling the party's virtues and chances of victory, the event will more likely paper over the deep divides between the Republican establishment and Trump's brand of in-your-face populism.
