On Monday afternoon, 32-year-old Ryan Thompson was standing in his Des Moines, Iowa yard when a stranger allegedly walked up to him and punched him in the face. Thompson died just one day later.

The medical examiner has not yet declared an official cause of death, but family members believe the punch caused a blood clot in the brain to rupture.
Thompson’s fiancé witnessed the attack and said the assailant pulled up in a dark car.
He approached Thompson and just prior to delivering the ultimately fatal hit said, “You owe me money."
The victim made it into the house, but was having troubles speaking.
Soon after, he was rushed to the hospital.
According to authorities, a suspect has been identified, but no charges have yet been pressed.
