Kawiki Singson hiked seven miles into the rugged Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to capture this footage of Kilauea’s lava engulfing a forest on its slopes on July 9. The lava is flowing toward the Pacific Ocean and the forward most portion of the flow is about a half mile away, according to the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. Credit: YouTube/Kawiki Singson
