A new New York Times survey found that experts and the public often disagree about which foods are considered healthy Granola was the most hotly contended food with 71 percent of the public rating it healthy and only 28 percent of nutritionists agreeing Coconut oil and Slimfast Shakes were other hot topics as most Americans consider them healthy but few nutritionists agree Another big surprise was quinoa as only 58 percent of the public considered it healthy while 89 percent of nutrition experts gave it a thumbs up Wine, tofu, sushi, hummus, and shrimp were all voted healthy by more nutritionists than the general public
