Family That Won A Big Powerball Jackpot Builds Fire Station For Community

A Powerball jackpot winner in Camden Point, Missouri has donated a new fire station to his community.

In November 2012, Mark Hill of Camden Point, Missouri hit it big, winning half of a $558 million Powerball jackpot.
While he and his family used some of the money to take vacations and purchase a larger home, they have also been incredibly charitable, particularly in their own community.
Thanks to their generosity, Camden Point now has a new fire station, reports KMBC.
Mark Hill’s father had previously been saved by firefighters on two separate occasions.
Said Hill of the generous donation, “My wife and I were able to pay them back."
July 16 is the dedication date for the town's new emergency response hub.
Once up and operating, it will provide round-the-clock fire and ambulance service to the town’s roughly 500 residents.
