After nearly 5 years of travel, NASA’s spacecraft Juno is close to reaching its destination on July 4.
Just before powering down its instruments to begin the final approach into Jupiter's orbit, the spacecraft captured a stunning sneak peek of the target planet.
In NASA video released on Monday, Jupiter is shown half-illuminated by the sun and surrounded by a few of its famous and numerous moons.
Over the next 20 months, Juno will circle the gas giant 37 times.
As it does so, the craft will no doubt provide us with many more dazzling images.
