Man And His Cell Phone Get Married In Las Vegas

A man from Los Angeles recently married his cell phone at The Little Vegas Chapel.

Las Vegas has certainly seen its share of unique weddings, but a May 20th ceremony took even a well-seasoned professional by surprise.
Aaron Chervenak from Los Angeles showed up at The Little Vegas Chapel inquiring about becoming married to his cell phone, reports Oddity Central.
Michael Kelly, the owner of the chapel, said, “At first it was like what? And then I was like... Alright let’s do it. We don't really have many people that marry inanimate objects."
Kelly also noted he makes a point of welcoming commitment ceremonies of all kinds, reports KTNV.
However, the state of Nevada isn't as flexible, and does not legally recognize the marriage, according to WHIO.
That’s likely fine by Chervenak, who indicated that his main objective was to send a message to the society.
He commented, “We look to it [our phone] for solace, to calm us down, to put us to sleep, to ease our mind, and to me that’s also what a relationship is about. So in a sense, my smartphone has been my longest relationship. That’s why I decided to see what it was like to actually marry a phone."
In a study conducted for Kaspersky Lab, about a third of participants said their phones were as or more important to them than their friends and parents.
