Darshan confirms, “In Darshan, I play Priyanka’s husband, who is high on life, a very positive character. He is the pillar of strength in Mary’s life, always encourages and motivates her. While in NH10, my chemistry with Anushka has a little bit grey shade. So it was a different feeling working on the two films together that too with different characters.”
Though the promos of MARY KOM are out everywhere and the film is slated to release on Sept 5, 2014, Darshan was offered NH10 first, which is still in post-production stage. However, the shooting of both the films ran parallely.
“NH10 was offered to me much before MARY KOM. However, we began work on MARY KOM from July 2013 and completed the shoot by mid-April. Whereas, for NH10, we commenced the shoot in November and within 5-6 months wrapped up the shoot. Now, NH10 is scheduled to release in February 2015. So the shoot of both the films went simultaneously,” reveals Darshan.
Ask Darshan how it was working with two prominent actresses of Bollywood, Priyanka and Anushka, who are ruling the roost currently, and he says with a glee in his eyes, “I felt very nice being with them and working alongside them. Both are absolutely hardworking and passionate about their craft. They inspired me a lot.”
