Walking on hot coals is an exercise offered at some of Tony Robbins’ motivational events, but instead of conquering their fears, some participants recently ended up in the hospital, notes the Dallas Morning News.

KTVT is reporting that on Thursday night, dozens of people in Dallas were treated for burns including at least five who were hospitalized during the firewalk which ended day one of Robbins' three-day seminar.
Dallas Fire-Rescue has confirmed that “a large number...sustained burn injuries to their feet and lower extremities.”
Meanwhile, a representative with Tony Robbins’ organization, Robbins Research International, released a statement, which reads in part, “In Dallas...someone not familiar with the fire walk observed the event and called 911 erroneously reporting hundreds of people requiring medical attention for severe burns. While we are grateful to the quick and robust response from Dallas emergency services, only 5 of 7,000 participants requested any examination beyond what was readily available on site."
No updates about the event’s last two days have been posted, according to Time.
