Democrats Occupy House of Representatives and Hold Sit-In on Gun Control

Members of the Democratic Party occupied the House of Representatives in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, staging a sit-in in order to demand a vote on gun control legislation. The protest comes ten days after the Orlando mass shooting, with pressure intensifying on the lawmakers to act. The sit-in protest has beenl underway for 11 hours at the time of writing, as Republicans were resisting, saying that they will not give in to such protest tactics.
