Surveillance footage of the May 16th incident was recently posted to YouTube.
According to the City of London Police, which shared the video, the theft was rather calculated.
The moped drivers passed on either side of the victim, blocking his exit paths, while one of the two grabbed the device.
Authorities advise people keep their phones concealed and stay alert to what is going on around them.
