Why is it wrong to believe in reincarnation?

ADNAN OKTAR: Reincarnation is a faulty concept. Some of the Knight Hospitallers I know also believe in reincarnation. It is wrong and irrational. A person comes into the world, and is given ample time. Even a week is enough for a person, how can people not realize this? People are granted long lives, seventy-eighty years or sometimes less than that; but long enough for people to realize. They go through a trial, die; and as some say they "come back". Let’s assume what they say is true; upon which experiences will they improve themselves considering that a brand new person comes, and begins from scratch. If he remembered his past fully, reincarnation would be beneficial. But he cannot remember his past. Rising after death is mentioned in the Quran. God destroys some communities and brings them back to life. God tells in the Quran of a dead man who comes back to life after being touched by a piece of calf meat. And today, the cardiac valve can be replaced with another valve taken from a calf saving people's lives, this story in the Quran is a sign for that, too. –In the Quran, there is a man who dies along with his donkey and later comes back to life. However, resurrection becomes meaningful only when the person remembers his past. For example a person says “I was Louis IV in my past life" implying he was reincarnated. Well, let’s suppose he was; we ask him “Tell us Louis, what were you doing back then?” “I cannot remember” he says. So there is no point in calling himself Louis. Let’s suppose that you are Huseyin Ozyilmaz and this is your trial; if you don’t remember your past, then there is no point in reincarnation.

BULENT SEZGIN: In a verse of the Quran, God says; “Didn’t we supply you with enough time to have advices?”
