In making ‘The Big Fix,’ a documentary about the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, filmmakers interviewed Mateen, who was working as a guard for a security company called G4S during the aftermath, reports Sky News.
He said of those involved in the cleanup endeavor, "No one gives a s*** here. Everybody's just, get out to get paid. They're like hoping for more oil to come out and more people to complain so they'll have jobs. They want more disaster to happen."
According to the New York Post, the company has confirmed the person in the footage is, indeed, Mateen.
