After making us curious with the character posters, the much-awaited trailer of Udta Punjab is here, and the awesomeness of the trailer will surely make you high. The trailer opens with a statement, "70 per cent of Punjab youth is in drug addict. If this isn't stopped, Punjab will soon become like Mexico." Shahid Kapoor plays the role of a drug-addict rockstar Tommy Singh, whereas handsome Diljit Dosanjh is seen as the tough and composed cop. Kareena Kapoor Khan essays the role of a doctor while Alia Bhatt plays a Bihari migrant and her accent in the trailer is bound to impress you. Well this movie has nothing do to with Kareena’s pout and glamorous avatar or Alia’s cuteness but rather we will get to see them in a completely different and promising avatar. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab highlights the problem of drug addiction, which has become a serious issue in Punjab, and will release on 17th June this year!
