Radhika Apte To Star In Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Main, Indu’
Sizzling actress Radhika Apte has been winning praises for her performance in 'Phobia' and now the actress has received Madhur Bhandarkar's ambitious next movie titled, 'Main, Indu'. The movie will be set in the Emergency Era (25th June, 1975 to 21st March, 1977). As per reports, it will revolve around the life of a poetess who rebels against the system. Reports also say that Anushka Sharma was one of the front runners to play the lead, but the Radhika bagged the lead role in this women-oriented drama. Sources say that Radhika is almost on board to play the lead in Madhur's film. She is a brilliant actress and the makers feel she will be able to do justice to the role. Reports say that the film has no direct reference to the late Indira Gandhi. Madhur has started his research and is meeting senior political leaders who saw the dark days of Emergency. The director also met Subramanian Swamy recently, and is believed to have exchanged notes on Emergency with him. Well after ‘Calendar Girls’, this would be Bhandarkar’s next movie.
