A British zoo has welcomed a new addition to its collection of rare and endangered Indonesian macaques. The baby Sulawesi crested macaque was born to a first-time mother at Chester Zoo, in Cheshire, on May 29. Less than 5,000 macaques are estimated to remain in the wild where their survival is threatened by hunters and habitat loss, according to the zoo.
