In a 1994 ABC News interview, Trump explained his first divorce by saying, “I think that putting a wife to work is a very dangerous thing….I think that was the single greatest cause of what happened to my marriage with Ivana.”
He went on to say that he didn’t like it when she would shout over a business deal and that, “during this period of time, she became an executive not a wife.”&
