The video, filmed on Newport Beach on June 1, shows the dog absolutely intrigued by the pod of dolphins.
The filmer later wrote online: "We took our four year old English cream golden retriever for an evening walk on Newport Beach near 'The Wedge' surfing spot and Balboa Pier.
"He spotted a pod of dolphins swimming and playing just off shore."
"He was very curious about the dolphins and followed them down the beach," he continued.
