A Russian couple lives with a bear for 23 years

If many have a dog, a cat, a hamster or a fish as a pet, Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko cohabit with a much more imposing and unusual Companion: a brown bear, which they called Stephan! 23 years ago, this Russian pair collected the wild animal while he was only a Cub of 3 months. It had been found by hunters, orphan and in very poor health. Svetlana and Yuriy then decided to adopt him offering a place wholly within the family. Now, Stephan weighs 136 kg, measuring over 2 meters and eats 25 kg of food per day. Very docile, he enjoys playing ball, watch television, take the snack table, be Petting or grooming. He also really loves picnics! Svetlana said that Stephan is a very sociable, absolutely not aggressive bear, and that he has never tried to bite, far preferring Cuddles.
