FREMONT COUNTY, COLORADO — The conductor of a passenger train was killed on May 28 in Colorado when she fell from the train while it was in motion.

Up to 150 passengers were onboard the Royal Gorge Scenic Route train when the 28-year-old conductor fell from the train at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The reason for the fall is still not known.

The conductor, Leslie Cacy of Canon City, Colorado, was standing at the back of the train when she fell off. The train then traveled backwards, running over Cacy and killing her.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office told KKTV News that the train was about four miles west of the train depot when the incident occurred.

Neither drugs, alcohol nor foul play are suspected factors in the young woman's death, reported local NBC News affiliate 9news.

According to KOAA News, Cacy was reportedly "visibly deceased" when paramedics arrived at the scene and an autopsy is scheduled for next week.
