Modern and contemporary artworks often blur the lines between the exalted and the everyday, and one teen in California recently capitalized on the confusion the pieces can create. 

17-year-old TJ Khayatan placed a pair of glasses on the floor of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, reports BuzzFeed News.
 
He then sat back and watched as people began to treat the glasses as an artwork.

Before long, Khayatan started documenting people’s responses to the impromptu installation and posted the photos on social media.
