Android suffers security problems. A group of researchers from avast! have discovered how easy it is to recover data that’s been deleted from Android devices. They managed to retrieve 40,000 photos from 20 second-hand phones, a thousand of which were not safe for work. Google recommends encrypting the device’s memory to avoid this problem. Minecraft Pocket updated. At last, the 0.9 update for Minecraft Pocket Edition has arrived. This patch sets aside Minecraft building elements in favour of improving survival elements of the game. New blocks, new environments, and new enemies await you in now infinite worlds. Google Maps measures distances. Google maps now lets you manually measure distances. You can calculate irregular routes, even if the roads aren’t recognized in Google Maps. If you don’t have the new Maps, you’ll have to go to the Labs panel to activate it. Microsoft abandons Windows 7. The world’s most popular operating system will cease support on January 13, 2015. Windows 7 will continue to receive security and emergency updates, but won’t get any new upgrades or options. It’s clear, Microsoft wants you to switch to Windows 8.1.
