Sometimes a successful Halloween can all hinge on how prepared you are. Today we are going to pick out five apps to help make your All Hallows Eve a success with sounds, digital makeup, horror games, a ghost detector, and more…
Demon Cam is our first pick and this digital makeup app help you scare your friends half to death with its short videos. All you have to do is record your face, doing something mundane. The app then track your eyes and mouth perfectly morph you into a devilish demon. And bwahhhhh – without warning it gives out a loud cry to create the perfect jump scare. Yes it only for iOS, but Android users can try HauntedBooth or ZombieBooth for similar effect.
Audio is an important but easily overlooked element of Halloween. To achieve the perfect soundscape, we recommend a little app called Halloween Song. With this tool you get to add spooky sound effects and music whenever you want them. Just wait for that lull in the conversation, or the silence in the middle of the night, and start off that creaky door, witch laughing, or chill wind blowing to keep the tension taught.
If you want to be scared and have fun alone at home this Halloween, well then the unsettling mobile game, Dark Meadow: The Pact is a must. This spooky action RPG, is filled with mystery and intrigue as you wander its long lonely corridors, battle demons, and try to its secrets. Dark Meadow also features amazing and immersive visuals that help draw you into the unnerving tale of horror... making this one horrifying game that is easy to recommend.
Do you want to know if you are all alone in your neighborhood, or if there are ghosts in the abandoned house down the street? With Ghost Communicator you can! More or less… Its creators warn that, logically, it may not ACTUALLY be capable of letting you commune with the dead - but that shouldn’t stop you enjoying this kooky app with friends as you try and decipher the meaning behind its ghostly words.
But Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without the scary stories, and the Wikia: Creepy Pasta app delivers these by the coffin load. Each of the thousands of short and scary legends delves in to horrors found online, and come complete with scary images to illustrate their ghoulish tales. And they really are chilling, with many of modern horror’s greatest creations having originated on Creepy Pasta, including Slenderman. Trust us, there is enough here to keep you awake all night.
