The Zurich Zoo has some new additions thanks to an 80-year-old Giant Galapagos tortoise named Nigrita.

The Zurich Zoo has several new additions thanks to an 80-year-old tortoise.
The Local is reporting that nine eggs laid by the Giant Galapagos tortoise named Nigrita and kept in an incubator “hatched successfully between February and April.”
Each baby reportedly emerged weighing four to five ounces, notes the NBC News. 
In comparison, their mother weighs 220 pounds and their father, a 54-year-old tortoise named Jumbo, is around 440 pounds.
