The video, filmed in Chengdu, Sichuan Province last Sunday, shows Fan walking and 'running' up and down the large stone staircase.
Fan is a veteran who learnt kung fu at the Shaolin temple when he was a child.
He took 31 seconds to walk up the stairs on his hands to break the world record.
