Chinese cop's sultry selfies get her fired before she even started

DANDONG CITY, CHINA — A policewoman has been discharged from her department for taking selfies in her uniform and posting them on social media.

The photos were posted to Weibo earlier this week and began circulating rapidly, with many netizens complaining that her appearance in the pictures did not uphold the standards of the uniform. The officer was not wearing long pants in the photos, and instead had on short-shorts.

One user commented "You can't wear a police uniform and put these kind of pictures online," a sentiment echoed by countless other users online.

The woman was an auxiliary officer for the Public Security Bureau of Dandong City in Liaoning province. She was trained at the Dandong Police Academy, which stated that it would "draw a lesson from this incident and strengthen our student management going forward to maintain strict discipline, so that something like this will never occur again to besmirch the good image of our school."
