Home Owner Finds 50,000 Pounds Of Trash Allegedly Left Behind By Former Tenants

Upon visiting a recently abandoned Portland, Oregon property, landlord Braheem Hazeem discovered roughly 50,000 pounds of trash piled both inside and out the home.

Tenants have been known to sometimes leave rentals is less than ideal condition, but few incidents likely compare to what one landlord in Portland, Oregon is now facing. 

Upon visiting a recently abandoned property, landlord Braheem Hazeen discovered roughly 50,000 pounds of trash piled both inside and out.

He admits he hadn’t been to the property in many years, but, as the home was being rented to long-time occupants receiving Section 8 assistance, he figured the agency would notify him of any issues. 

Inspections are typically done on Section 8 homes every 2 years, but none of the reports note a detritus issue.
