Michael Blevins of Deltona went to an area emergency room on Saturday after noticing there was a fairly fresh gunshot wound on his arm.
He later told deputies that he’d likely been injured on Thursday, as his gun had gone off in the midst of routine maintenance.
Though he recalled experiencing a great deal of back pain just prior and hit his head on the coffee table while falling to the ground, he did not feel the gunshot itself.
Blevins noted that could be due to pain medication he takes for an ongoing condition.
