The trailer of Neerja Bhanot's biopic Neerja was recently unveiled and it has got a fantastic response from the audiences. Sonam Kapoor, who is playing the titular role is thrilled with all the appreciation coming her way and she feels that the movie will inspire many.

When asked what kind response has the trailer received, Kapoor said, "People have given a very good response to it. I think people are not only liking it but also connecting with it, they are getting moved by it and such a response always gives you happiness and great satisfaction. I feel that this film will inspire many and it's a movie that needs to be watched because it shows a girl trying to do the right thing. That 23-year-old girl tried to save the lives of 300 passengers despite knowing the threat to her life. The courage that somebody shows in the face of fear is true courage."

Born on September 7, 1963, flight attendant Neerja Bhanot was murdered while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986. She was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra - India's highest peacetime military award for bravery.
