Muslim woman wearing hijab attacked by Trump supporter

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A verbal assault against a woman wearing a hijab on April 21 turned violent in a matter of minutes, as an unknown woman claiming to be a Trump supporter reportedly doused her with some kind of strange liquid and quickly ran away.
Outside a Starbucks at the corner of Livingston and Connecticut in Washington D.C., a grainy surveillance tape captures incident that began when the two women were sitting beside one another. Among a slew of hateful comments voiced, the attacker allegedly told the victim she was planning to vote for Donald Trump in the hope that he would "send all of you terrorist Muslims out of this country." She also allegedly called the victim "a worthless piece of Muslim trash."
The muslim woman, who is of African American descent, then called the police. She says when officers arrived, they told her there was nothing they could do due to freedom of speech. After the cops left, the woman returned to continue her barrage and pour an unknown liquid on the muslim woman's head. The attacker, who the victim claims was caucasian and blonde, then ran from the scene.
The Council on American Islamic Relations is now offering a $1000 reward for information leading to her arrest.
