Deepika Padukone Auditions For 'The Mummy' Franchise Opposite Tom Cruise

After ruling Bollywood over the last couple of years, actress Deepika Padukone has already set her foot in Hollywood, where she is currently shooting for Vin Diesel's XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage. Now, the Bajirao Mastani actress is working towards spreading her wings in the west and making a parallel career in Hollywood. There is a strong buzz that the actress has auditioned for a role in The Mummy franchise opposite Tom Cruise.
Reportedly, Deepika auditioned for a role of an Egyptian girl in the movie sometime last week in Los Angeles and is now waiting to hear from the casting directors of the popular franchise. According to reports, the casting directors are also looking at other prospects for the role.
