Turkish Prime Minister forced to quit by President Erdogan

Turkish Prime ­Min­ister Ahmet ­Davutoglu, ­announ­ced his resignation, paving the way for President Recep ­Tayyip Erdogan to tighten his grip on power.
Mr Davutoglu, who has fallen out with Mr Erdogan, said he would not be seek a new mandate as ­ruling party chief at an extraordinary party congress on May 22, meaning he will step down as Prime Minister.
