*Boa’s, top hat, feathers and cigarette girls set the tone of this year’s Jazz themed 46th annual Bremond-Bakewell Pioneer of African American Achievement Brotherhood Crusade event. Cedric the Entertainer was honored for his philanthropy, talent and versatility Friday, November 7th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Hosted by Chris Schauble, co-anchor of LA's KTLA 5 Morning News and Pat Prescott, radio personality for 94.7 The Wave, the event's theme was “Leading Young People onto the Stage of Life.” Celebrities included William Allen Young, Joyful Drake, Brian McKnight who serenaded the crowd with his rich and soulful voice, all the while looking better than ever and April Parker Jones of Tyler Perry’s “If Loving You is Wrong.” She informed our associate, LaCora Stephens, that the next few episodes will be coming up on OWN at the end of March. She assured, “You don’t want to miss the conclusion of the season. It will leave you wanting more!”
