Dog on the loose stops traffic on a motorway

A bizarre video has emerged of drivers trying to catch a dog running between cars on a motorway.

The footage, shot in Houston, TX, USA, shows the moment traffic came to a stop while drivers desperately tried to catch the runaway dog.

People in the car with the filmer can be heard speculating that the pet belongs to one of the drivers and jumped out of their car window.

Although the footage was shot last year it has only recently surfaced online.
