Finland’s Mail Carriers To Start Mowing Lawns
  • 8 years ago
YLE in Finland is reporting that at least some of the country’s mail carriers will begin to mow residents’ lawns on a weekly basis starting on May 17th as a way to compensate for a declining demand for postal services.

Beginning next month, postal workers in Finland will be delivering more than just mail to residents.

The BBC is reporting that they will also mow lawns on Tuesdays which are the slowest days for deliveries.
The cost is estimated to be around $73 a month for 30 minutes a week or about $147 a month for an hour a week.
That said, the fee only covers labor, as residents will have to provide the necessary equipment.
