The sprawling federal probe that has caught up multiple senor members of NYPD is the biggest scandal around police corruption in perhaps 40 years. Two high-ranking police officials were placed on modified duty and two others were transferred after a bombshell last Monday revealed the feds were investigating Deputy Chiefs and Borough Commanders for accepting gifts and trips from two prominent real estate-oriented supporters of Mayor Bill de Blasio in exchange for favors.
