Nyet! Russia says no wrongdoing in pilots fly-by of U.S. Navy destroyer

Russia swears that its warplanes obeyed all safety rules when they buzzed a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Baltic Sea.
President Obama's administration deemed the actions "unsafe" and the U.S. will file a diplomatic protest.
That may prove to be futile as Russia already as it's widely known Russia resents the U.S. operating close to Russian territory.
Commander of the USS Donald Cook said the Russian planes performed a "simulated attack profile," although they were unarmed.
The pair of Russian attack jets came as close as 1,000 yards at an altitude of 100 feet of the destroyer on Monday.
