Obama Plans To Forgive Billions In Student Loans Owed By Permanently Disabled

The Obama administration has announced that it will proactively notify nearly 400,000 permanently disabled people about being eligible to have their student loans discharged; the total amount to be forgiven is estimated to be around $7.7 billion.

Student loans are notoriously hard to discharge, but one group will now have an easier time getting rid of this debt.
