The more scientists learn about Pluto, the more fascinating the dwarf planet becomes.
NASA announced the recent discovery of a massive, spider-shaped feature on the celestial orb’s surface that is unlike any other known to exist there to date.
It is comprised of no less than 6 fractures, the longest of which measures an astounding 360 miles long.
The smallest stretches about 60 miles in an east-west direction.
Beneath them lies some sort of reddish deposit.
Their cause is believed to be a locus of stress existing in the crust below the area where the fractures come together.
