Barack Obama and China's President Xi Jinping are prepared to confront North Korea in the midst of what has become a growing discord between the insular country and the rest of the world.
Both leaders pledged to confront North Korea as Kim Jong Un expands upon his nuclear arsenal.
"President Xi and I are both committed to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula," Obama said.
The Chinese government appears to be cooperating with the Obama administration's wishes by passing stringent U.N. sanctions that aim to cripple the north.
The two sides left a meeting held this week vowing t collaborate to improve nuclear security.
The countries come together at an important time as North Korea has tested hydrogen bombs in the last couple of weeks.
